TIMELINE OF THE HUMAN DESIGN HOTEL
Let’s take you back to the beginning, before it was even an idea, but simply an intuitive nudge. It started in the lead up to 2022 when the world had firmly changed its perspective on office presence forever.

📍 Inception: The big IDEA, a Different Kind of Space
The founder of RALIA, Mya, felt the pull to create something new after the 2020 shift away from traditional office worklife. She didn’t know exactly what, but she knew how it should feel: healthy, connected, and alive. She sketched a digital floor plan of about 3000 square feet and sent it to a commercial office space build-out expert. The response? “This can work.” It was the first green light on the path. This wasn’t yet the clear idea of a Human Design Hotel. But it was the first aligned yes. 9 months later Mya toured a dilapidated building for sale with a 3000 square foot floor plan - as a generator she knew instantly in her gut that developing this building was a “yes”.

🌀 December 21, 2023 — Rebirth: CONNECTIONS by RALIA Is Named
6 months AFTER the purchase of the building, four of us gathered in a ceremony in the recently demolished interior: a vision coach, a UX designer, a real estate pro, and Mya. The reason was simple —open the space with intention prior to construction beginning. There was no need to 100% know how yet, there was just a feeling that this real estate project was going to be different. CONNECTIONS by RALIA, the name and rebirth of the building began at the solstice in Montreal. We consider the birth chart of the building to be 12-21-23 at 10:27pm in Montreal.

🌿 September 5, 2024 — A Café That Changes Habits
The Connections by RALIA building is an incubator of women-led businesses. The first business to open inside the building was a cozy, conscious café run by first time entrepreneur Gabrielle Letain-Mathieu. It quickly has become a hangout for parents, creatives, and curious passersby. No garbage bins, just reusables. No business as usual, just better habits. For RALIA, it was proof that values like sustainability and female entrepreneurship are front and center to our values.

✨ December 2024 — Event Space Comes to Life
We quietly opened our 100-person venue inside the building Connections by RALIA, with our first event—hosted by Eden Carpenter. The main opening happened 2 months later in December when we opened to the customers of Montreal. Our first events were vibrant, warm, and flexible, just like we imagined. From holiday parties, book launches and live podcasts to birthday dinners, the space has become whatever people needed it to be. This isn't just a venue. It is a magical launchpad.

🛏️ September 25, 2024 — First Guest stays in the Hotel
Human Design Hotel meeting #1. Half the rooms were ready. The first guest was Eden Carpenter, in Montreal to explore the idea of a Human Design Hotel. We didn’t launch big—just opened the doors and let the space breathe. The building had structure, rhythm, and room for something deeper. That “something” was starting to take shape.

Summer 2025 — The Hotel is Activated to support an elevated experience
We have invited community ACTIVATORS to help shape the feel of the hotel. Each room is being designed as an energetic experience, inspired by Human Design. This incredible team of inspiring people in our community are at the heart of the Human Design Hotel. They are the bridge between real estate and a connected experience.
November 1 - November 7th, 2025 — The Human Design Hotel Officially Launches
